We work hard to make sure that we take care of all of our pets here at The Paw House. But, unfortunately we can't do it without people like you and your donations of time and money. So, if you ever feel like you want to be a part of our family and help some of the best animals around, help us out.
From The Paw House to Your House
Many house cats that have been abandoned by their owners are mistaken for 'feral' cats. They become frightened of people while outside on their own, but truly crave the return to a loving family.
An unsprayed female cat, her mate and all of their offspring, producing 2 litters per year, with 2.8 surviving kittens per litter can total more than 66,000 cats after only 6 years and after 9 years that number rises to more than 11 million!
A female cat left to have litter after litter of kittens is at risk of dying from a burst uterus or breast cancer.
Neutered male cats won't develop testicular cancer. They are also less likely to spray urine in an effort to mark territory.
Feral cats make up a large percentage of the four million to six million cats euthanized yearly by U.S. Animal Shelters.
The Paw House is a no kill rescue group. Many inadoptable animals are taken in by The Paw House and cared for.
Seven out of ten cats in shelters are destroyed simply because there is no one to adopt them..........
